MINUTES OF PLANNING MEETING HELD IN OAKHILL VILLAGE HALL ON 29TH AUGUST 2012 AT 7.30PM

PL and EL declared an interest in Application 2012/1481 as neighbours.

Planning Application 2012/1200; The Old Rectory, Ashwick; Proposed tennis court and fencing – After review of the application documents and drawings, EL proposed to recommend approval (BW seconded, all agreed) as the proposals are to improve the property with no detriment to the neighbours.

Planning Application 2012/1481; Previously Hay House, Bath Road; Erection of a two storey detached chalet type dwelling with an attached garage and utility room and a small shed – After review of the application documents and drawings, PD proposed to recommend approval (DG seconded, all agreed), supporting the utilisation of a brownfield site to accommodate an established village family.

Planning Application 2012/1731; Spencer House, Manor Place, High Street; Proposed pruning of a Beech tree subject to tree preservation order M1170 – As per other applications of this nature, BW proposed to leave the decision to the tree officer (PL seconded, all agreed).

Planning Application 2012/1732; Spencer House, Manor Place, High Street; Proposed works to trees in a conservation area – As per other applications of this nature, BW proposed to leave the decision to the tree officer (PL seconded, all agreed).

 

 

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

BW has received a request from Chilcompton PC regarding our speed camera with a view to either purchasing or borrowing it. It was agreed that it could be borrowed subject to a letter from the Clerk setting out conditions.

EL suggested that maintenance of The Pound garden should be passed over from Percy Lambert. Clerk to issue a letter to thank him.

Pavement at Pondsmead – EL pulled some weeds.

Clerk’s workload – It would be useful if a list of contacts be issued to Councillors.

Dropped manhole outside Gurney Slade Post Office – DB agreed to report this.
