Oakhill Ramblers

Welcome to the Oakhill Ramblers pages.

Oakhill Ramblers first started 12 years ago.  We walk monthly, generally the third Wednesday, a distance of between 5 and 6 miles around the countryside of Somerset using footpaths, bridleways and tracks.  We take a well earned rest with lunch at a local pub half way round the walk.   New members are welcome along with obedient dogs.  For further information contact group leaders Sara and Christopher Sully on 01749 - 840083

The Nettlebridge Walk.

An easy 3.5 miles taking about 2 hours which encompases the Nettlebridge area, taking in St Dunstan's Well and Harridge Wood.  Unfortunately the The George public House in Nettlebridge has closed and is now being converted into private residences.

The Oakhill to Blacker’s Hill Iron Age Fort circular walk via Gurney Slade.

This walk is about five and half miles in length and should take between two and a half and three hours to complete.   Although there are hills, nothing too strenuous for an experienced walker, a few stiles and with the route mainly following quiet country lanes.
